Statement of Need

Integrative mental health and functional medicine psychiatry are not taught in medical school and are not often provided as continuing education even within the functional medicine community and its training and certification programs (eg: IFM curriculum, IHS, etc.). This conference looks to address this gap by bringing together the top clinicians and researchers from around the world to share the latest scientific knowledge and clinical skills with the learners. An opportunity to access and learn the latest scientific research and best clinical practice is critical to optimizing the learner’s application of mental health care in a clinical setting, in order to improve patient outcomes. The conference will provide learners with root cause, personalized and precision medical diagnostic knowledge and treatment tools for a broad range of mental health concerns.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss the latest evidence, science and research around diagnosis and treatment of various mental health concerns
  • Accurately identify and differentiate a wide spectrum of mental health conditions in patients
  • Describe and evaluate a range of evidence-based treatments, therapies, and support resources applicable to diverse patient needs.
  • Analyze patient symptoms to determine underlying mental health concerns and develop strategies to promote sustainable mental wellbeing.

Target Audience

Physicians (MDs/Dos), nurse practitioners, physician associates, nurses, nutritionists, dietitians, naturopaths, psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, chiropractors, osteopaths, students, and other healthcare professionals.

Financial Support
